The Splinters of Dusk are a community both on IC and OOC levels.

In-Character, the clan is in flux between its public perception and actual philosophic motivations.

To the outside, they are a ruthless mercenary clan with no regard for context, no sense of mercy and no sense of defeat; something to be loathed, perhaps, or - at best - admired from afar.

To the inside, the Splinters of Dusk have almost monk-like qualities, viewing their contracts as gifts of enlightenment upon the victims at expense of the contractor, viewing themselves as donators of strength to those willing to listen.

Note: The only 'protection' a member of the Splinters of Dusk has from the wrath of the world is their codename. Nonetheless, some members choose to openly declare themselves a part of the clan; for example, you can find a gaggle of us via the bloodpoints database.

Out-of-character, the players making up the Splinters of Dusk and their close friends aspire to create a small, cozy sub-community within Ravenblack city where IC and OOC distinction matters, and evil things are planned between OOC friends to occur between their characters.

An excellent example of this mindset can be found in our close OOC friendship with Gehyra, but it applies to many things. Note that, like Gehyra, we very open to OOC alliances and would be honoured if you, whoever you are reading this, would consider such a bond with us. Historically, OOC ambassadors of many clans have had access to the Splinters of Dusk board frequently up to as far as [s3].

In short, we like people, much as our IC reputation may not suggest that. Any interaction you'd genuinely like to have with us as a player is appreciated. We're also good fans of plots that put us at a disadvantage, as long as you cook them up with us, and it's a joint RPing effort.
