So, you'd like to commission the Splinters of Dusk to do their thing, but you're not quite sure how to? Read on:

1. Commission the contract.
   
   Usually happens in live dialog, but here's the break-up for forum and other offline discussion:
   
   
   
   1. Message an Eclipsed or Obsidian Nova (clan leadership).
      
      Give your vampire name, your target's vampire name, the amount you wish the target to be taken down by/to (e.g. 'by 500 bp' or 'to 0 bp'), if you're fine with Splinters of Dusk normal attack policy (no scrolls of turning) or would like scrolls of turning used and specify what kind of hit-updates you'd like beyond the start and finish. You should also specify (if the contracts to zero) if you'd like obituaries and if so where and any specific end message you'd like the target to recieve.
      
      
   2. Get a response.
      
      We'll try to respond within 24 hours, with the following information, in turn: Whether the hit can be executed (see Restrictions on contracts), if so, what the cost of the hit is for you and when we expect to have space for the contract (if we're currently busy with (an)other contract(s)).
      
      
   3. Confirm.
      
      If you're okay with the cost and the time-schedule, let us know.
      
   
   
2. Pay part one of the price.
   
   You owe us 50% of the price upfront. Clan leadership will hook you up with a Shard for the payment. Payment's expected to come from the vampire name you identified yourself as. More importantly, the second half of the money is expected to come from the exact same account as the first half.
   
   
3. Wait for the contract to finish.
   
   At this point you'll be receiving any updates that you specified in the initial stages of the commission. We reserve the right to refuse you any changes to these updates if we feel they're unreasonable or unrealistic.
   
   
4. Pay part two of the price.
   
   You'll be given a summary at the end of it, as previously specified, no worries, we don't ask blind payments.
   

Remember: Rest assured that no gekkonid will leak information about your project, regardless of whether we accept the commission or not. If we turn it down, the project will be treated like it was never commissioned and we never spoke. People may not pay us to get your name and possibly retaliate. Your information is kept safe. (Unfortunately, that doesn't save you from educated guesses on part of your victim, nor from non-gekkonids in the know from blabbing your intents - but this is our pledge.)
