Please note that we do not:
- Attack (or take contracts from) vampires that have Neutrality.
- Attack (or take contracts from) vampires that have the BattleCloak.
- Attack (or take contracts from) vampires in clans on this list.
- Attack entire clans.
Those are the only exceptions to the gekkonid neutrality - and of those, all but the last one are OOC:
We don't attack Neutrals because by taking up that power, they've expressed their desire as a player to opt out of the PvP aspects of the game. BattleCloaked vampires don't exist for us in the same way non-resters don't exist to them. And the list is by its very definition maintained out of pure OOC courtesy.
The ban on clan-assaults is that the Splinters of Dusk don't involve themselves in clan wars. Mind you, on the flip side, chances are they'd never be asked to take out a clan, anyway - since usually, if one's reached that point, anonymity is hardly given anymore (and that is ultimately the primary service the gekkonids offer).
You're welcome to, if you have a clan memberlist, take out individual contracts on each of the members - but know that the Splinters of Dusk frequently work sequentially, so it's indeed quite different to asking a clan to be attacked. (By the time the gekkonids reach the last member on the list, the first is almost without a doubt back in shape.)
Regardless what you do...
Remember, the Splinters of Dusk consider vampires immortal. There is no 'killing'. That's not what they're doing. So whether you ask for someone to be taken to zero or just ask for a few hits, it's basically the same in the gekkonid universe. (We do realise it's probably not the same in yours, but it deserves stressing.)
